13. Vs. Bray Wyatt (SummerSlam 2017)
Of the 14 times Finn Bálor has portrayed The Demon in a WWE/NXT ring, this was easily the biggest letdown of them all.
Bálor vs. Bray Wyatt was at one point considered to be a "dream match" by fans, if only because of how equally dark their personas were (or at least when Bálor was The Demon). Unfortunately, their feud was fairly forgettable and it quickly became apparent that they had next to no in-ring chemistry together.
Wyatt beat Balor clean on Raw six days before SummerSlam 2017 in a painfully mediocre match. They clashed in a rematch that Sunday at the pay-per-view, this time with Balor fighting as The Demon, and it wasn't much better.
The contest was slow, plodding and just overall "meh." The sole positive was that Balor went over in clean fashion and picked up the win he desperately needed after months of doing much of nothing on Raw.
It's interesting to note that their No Mercy matchup the following month was a major improvement, though Balor was his normal self that night.
