Whether or not you are a fan of the current NXT product, it is difficult to deny the influence of the developmental brand ever since it morphed from basically a game show into a standalone wrestling one. All of RAW's current singles champions are products of NXT, and many of the main roster's biggest stars initially made their mark on the yellow brand.

The NXT Women's Championship may well be the most protected title on the brand. The NXT Tag Team Championships have seen a number of dud reigns and champions, the titles changing hands more times than necessary with forgotten main roster teams like The Vaudevillains and The Ascension listed among the former champions. Likewise, the NXT Championship has been held by some fantastic performers, but it has also changed hands at a number of house shows and was once held by Bo Dallas.

Conversely, the NXT Women's Championship has been held by just five women, three of whom went on to hold main roster championships, and the fourth and fifth will more than likely to join them in the near future.

But how do the five title reigns stack up against one another? Here are the NXT Women's Champions ranked, from worst to best.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
