20. WrestleMania XX

An overly-long show before WWE made it the soul-crushing norm, WrestleMania XX's most special moment ended up being the sole reason it rarely features in company lore.

The celebration of Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit's poignant title victories carries only pain considering the lives (or lack thereof) of the pair in the short years that followed.

With 'The Crippler' rendered moot, the card also lacks that one spit-on-your-neck kick-you-in-the-crotch classic. The New Yorkers were game for the battle to emerge, but instead made do with the cathartic showmanship of The Rock and Ric Flair, the technical mastery of Chris Jericho and Christian, and sheer disdain for soon-to-depart duo Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.
