Real Reason Edge & Christian's Podcast Will Never Return

Don't expect an E&C's Pod of Awesomeness return anytime soon.

Edge and Christian's Pod of Awesomeness may have been a hit amongst listeners, but it sounds like the process was a lot less enjoyable for one of its hosts.

Sunday saw Edge respond to an Instagram commenter (h/t Reddit user u/KillinTheBusiness) asking if 'The Rated R Superstar' would considering bringing the show back after he retires from the ring for a second time. In response, Edge said that while the decision to stop wrestling was out of his hands, stepping away from the pod was his choice, because "it was not that much fun."

A shame, though there isn't exactly a shortage of other wrestling podcasts for fans to enjoy these days.

Edge is currently sidelined after suffering a severe triceps injury while taping his "Greatest Wrestling Match Ever" with Randy Orton at WWE Backlash 2020. It was his latest in a string of misfortunes since mounting a monumental comeback at the Royal Rumble in January, though the Backlash bout was well-received, with most fans and critics agreeing on its exceptional quality.

Edge vs. Orton III is now tipped to go down at Royal Rumble 2021 or WrestleMania 37, potentially for the WWE Championship.
