What Happened After Raw Went Off The Air? (June 8)

John Cena had a match despite his nose injury.

After Raw went off the air at about 15 minutes past the top of the third hour, John Cena had a match with Bray Wyatt that Cena won clean with the Attitude Adjustment. That's a typical finish to end a taping because the idea is to send the crowd home happy with a babyface winning. Cena didn't have a match on Raw after possibly breaking his nose on Sunday when he worked with King Barrett at a live event. During Cena's promo segment with Kevin Owens on Raw, Cena's nose look busted up although apparently it wasn't bad enough to keep him from doing a dark match. Assuming Cena doesn't work the Smackdown taping on Tuesday, he should get plenty of rest before his hard hitting match with Owens on Sunday. As for Wyatt, he didn't appear on Raw at all and is not scheduled for a match at the Money in the Bank event this Sunday. It will be the third special event out of the last four that Wyatt isn't even in a match. The booking of Wyatt has been pretty bizarre since he beat Ryback clean at the Payback event in May and then Ryback won the Intercontinental Title at Elimination Chamber while Wyatt did nothing. There's no reported injury for Wyatt either, so it's simply a case of WWE creative having nothing for him. Prior to Raw, WWE taped Superstars with Paige beating Layla and The Ascension getting a win over the Lucha Dragons.
