Why SummerSlam 1992 Is The Greatest WWE PPV Of The “Golden Era”

1. (And Now, The 'Not So Great')

Just so you don't all think this is some nostalgic circle jerk, let's see what wasn't so great. Even the best PPVs of all time, still have some turds lurking between great matches.

The biggest from this card, in my opinion, is Crush vs. Repo Man. While this match has always felt to me like it's purely there to fill the card and make the Warrior vs. Savage match look even better (not that it needed it!), one thing they never made a fuss over is the fact that they both used to be in Demolition.

Next up is Nailz vs. Virgil. Nailz is a poor in ring performer, which kinda works to his benefit considering his character. But this does lead to my favourite 'thing on a pole' match against Big Boss Man at Survivor Series 1992. Thankfully neither Viagara nor Buff Bagwell's mum was involved!

And finally we have The Natural Disasters vs. The Beverley Brothers. Now, no disrespect to The Beverley Brothers who I have always believed to be underrated, this is all about the The Natural Disasters. Lumbering fat men who sit on people have never been over with me. If I wanted to see that, pretty sure the regulars down my local could oblige me!
