Why WWE's Empty Arena Format Doesn't Bother Alexa Bliss
The Women's Tag Champ isn't worried by the lack of fans at ringside.
Alexa Bliss told Comicbook.com that WWE's current empty arena format at the Performance Center doesn't bother her one bit.
The current Women's Tag-Team Champ said that she didn't elicit any noise from fans anyway when she first debuted on the NXT roster as a babyface, so she's "used to having no crowd reaction". That's some healthy self-deprecation 'Little Miss Bliss' has going on there.
Alexa also said she had plenty of "practice matches" in WWE before fans filed in during the first year or so of her career, and she quite enjoys the challenge of telling stories without any cheering or booing. The lack of natural ambience means wrestlers have to be more vocal inside the ring bell-to-bell - Bliss likes that dynamic.
This is a complete contrast to something NXT's Keith Lee said recently. The reigning North American Champion revealed that he's struggling to power through the current climate due to the lack of atmosphere fans create.
Lee even went so far as to suggest bumps sting a little more when there's no response coming from the stands.
Bliss doesn't feel the same. She's content working with or without live crowds.
