Why WWE's New Faction Is Already Doomed To Fail

Cedric Alexander Mustafa Ali ricochet Raw
WWE.com

The idea of Aleister Black, Ricochet, Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander wearing scarves on their faces and Che Guevara t-shirts and changing the system from within is beyond laughable. Can you imagine Vince McMahon experiencing an epiphany, when watching a mid Main Event match, and proclaiming out loud, suddenly, that "This is the way forward! ***1/4 matches from the workrate gang, who are going to cut unscripted promos now!"

That's not just snark. MVP made reference to some of those names sat stewing in catering with nothing to do.

Foreshadowing!

If a renegade group decided to poison somebody, what the f*ck did Montez Ford do? Isn't Shane McMahon more representative of the "organization" the group seeks to overthrow? If somebody else poisoned Montez Ford, why run a wacky, attention-grabbing poisoning angle on the same show on which you're attempting to get two other big angles over? There was so much bullsh*t on RAW last night that the only thing that registered was an overwhelming stench that seeped into everything.

This is fantasy booking dreamed up by a 15 year-old a month after first learning of the way the system operates on a dot net comments section.

You can almost see the r/SquaredCircle thread in five years' time: The Ghosts In The Machine Was WWE's Biggest Lost Opportunity Ever. They really had something there, you know? It's a shame they never followed up on Akira Tozawa burying the Powers That Be for the ninja gimmick. As, all the while, Reddit user $money420 maintains that Jake Atlas isn't being buried, actually. What's the matter, you afraid of heat or sumthin'? Welcome to Pro Wrestling 101, guy.

The Ghosts In The Machine - let's call them the Ghosts In The Machine, because it's assured to be something equally as lame - is over before it began.
