WWE: 10 Reasons We Want A New WCW Nitro Reboot On WWE Network

1. It Would Offer An Alternative To WWE

wcw starrcade 90 You may have noticed that many of these ideas are the opposite of what WWE is doing on their Raw and Smackdown shows today and that's completely accurate. WWE has to notice the backlash coming from hardcore wrestling fans due to their booking decisions and lack of change in the main event picture. Why not placate these fans by offering a show (that you still own) that gives them exactly what they want? You can still have the WWE shows on Raw and Smackdown that you want to be considered mainstream but you can also offer a WCW show that gives fans something completely different but still belongs under the WWE umbrella. Sure, some fans might only watch the WCW Nitro show but isn't that better than them watching no wrestling at all? Instead of fans searching for TNA shows or trying to find ROH's weekly offering, they could log onto WWE Network and see something unique that will have them coming back for more. If fans want to see John Cena and Randy Orton wrestling for the 482nd time and Triple H cutting promos, then they can tune into Raw for their sports-entertainment fix. But, if they want tag team wrestling and high flying cruiserweights then they could flip over to WCW. It would be like 1997 all over again where fans would argue over which promotion had the better product and which show had the better wrestlers. It's been tried before and it failed but, if they follow this model, there's no way it could fail a second time.
