WWE: 12 Wrestlers With Retirement On Their Mind

11. Christian

Captain Charisma fought for the WWE title at Elimination Chamber in a story that repeatedly referenced he doesn't have much time left in his career, he was desperate for one final chance at glory. The storyline was true, aged 40 and having competed in a top level gruelling style since 1998 the star must be feeling the physical exhaustion at this stage of his life. It's time to hang the boots up. Turning 41 later this year, Christian must know he has to leave at some point soon. He has made really good money and creatively there isn't really going to be much that WWE can offer him other than jobber roles. He's the past not the future. The retirement could even come as soon as Wrestlemania 30. The Canadian is currently feuding with Sheamus, what better way to end his career than one last major feud culminating in a big match on the grandest stage of them all. It would elevate Sheamus and give Christian a notable send off. Even if that angle doesn't happen, Christian could be gone later this year, with continuing speculation online that he is ready to call it a day. Retirement Verdict: 2014
