WWE: 15 Best Sheamus Matches (So Far)

4. Vs. John Morrison (WWE TLC; December 19, 2010)

WWE.comWWE.comAfter dropping out of the WWE Championship hunt, Sheamus began feuding with John Morrison in the finals months of 2010. Morrison won their initial encounter at Survivor Series, but Sheamus evened the score when he defeated him in the finals of the 2010 King of the Ring tournament to win the crown. Of course, a rubber match was in order, taking place at the TLC pay-per-view. This time around, it'd be a Ladder match. Up for grabs was a shot at the WWE title. This was Sheamus' chance re-enter the championship chase, but it was also a chance for Morrison to break out as a star in the main event scene. The stakes could not have been higher and neither competitor was going to let this opportunity pass them by. Sheamus had competed in Tables and Hell in a Cell matches before, but never a Ladder match, so it was interesting to see how he would fare in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wetn9_6zgtM Surprisingly enough, Sheamus flourished in the ladder environment, as did Morrison. The two worked in several suspenseful and innovative spots that had the audience thinking Sheamus was on the verge of victory at various points. In the end, Morrison ascended the steel structure to grab hold of the contract and his shot at glory. Sheamus put over The Shaman of Sexy in a big way that night and cemented his place as one of WWE's most respected Superstars for it.
