WWE: 15 Best Sheamus Matches (So Far)

12. Vs. Bray Wyatt (Main Event; April 29, 2014)

WWE.comWWE.comAfter spending six months on the shelf with an injury, Sheamus made his highly anticipated return to the ring in the 2014 Royal Rumble match. Despite his hot comeback, Sheamus spent subsequent months doing next to nothing, failing to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Elimination Chamber and coming up short in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30. However, when it came time for him to do battle with Bray Wyatt for the first time ever on the April 29 edition of Main Event, fans were pumped. The two had yet to cross paths and they both fought a very physical style. Sheamus may not have been involved in anything of note at the time, but he was still having great matches like nobody's business. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Skq9UcpBRSg Sure enough, the matchup did not disappoint. Not only were they given great time, they were allowed to have the kind of brutal bout that many imagined it could be. Main Event provided that opportunity for them, which is why their most recent rematch on Raw paled (no pun intended) in comparison. Nevertheless, Bray scored the surprising victory over the former multi-time world champion, his biggest win in WWE up to that point.
