WWE 2006 PPVs From Worst To Best

10. Backlash

The Good: Backlash is usually a huge comedown after WrestleMania, but that wasn't necessarily the case in 2006, since the event boasted several entertaining matches. The show kicked off with a decent match between former partners Carlito and Chris Masters. The fans were really, really into Carlito here. Rob Van Dam and Shelton Benjamin, two of the most athletically gifted wrestlers in WWE history, had a damn fine match. Even if it wasn't the classic that many purists hoped it would be, it was still the best pure wrestling match on the card. What was not a pure wrestling match was Shane and Vince McMahon's epic showdown with Shawn Michaels and 'God'. Typical OTT brilliance from Vince, excessive interference from the Spirit Squad and the typically great HBK performance ensured that this one was never less than entertaining. The Cena/HHH/Edge triple threat main event was inventive, bloody and utterly compelling. Exactly what you want in a big time PPV main event. The Bad: Trish Stratus unfortunately suffered a shoulder injury just minutes into her anticipated rematch with Mickie James, meaning they had to go home early and improvise a finish, which was a shame. Kane versus Big Show and Umaga versus Ric Flair were not very good but served their purpose. The Rest: 'Matt Striker loves poop'.
