4. Rob Van Dam
Rob Van Dam is a fascinating guy. He's not currently on the WWE roster, but he'll likely be back there soon according to himself. At 42 years old and likely with a lot of money in the bank, he's not in a position where he has to wrestle a full time schedule anymore. He can pick his spots, which is a great luxury to have. The high flyer spent most of his 20 year career in the babyface role. Fans always liked RVD no matter where he went. Part of it was because he was so entertaining to watch in a ring as he made difficult moves look easy and part of it was because he's just a laid back guy who didn't seem to be bothered by anything...except mainly the laws that prevent the legalization of marijuana. If you look at credentials, there's no question that he deserves it. In addition to winning all the ECW Titles, he also won nearly everything you could win in WWE as well. Who can forget his only WWE Title win when he beat John Cena in front of a hostile crowd at ECW's One Night Stand 2006 in New York. Going back to his popularity, there were some years in the late 1990s and early 2000s where he was as popular as any wrestler in the business. While it's not fair to compare him to the likes of Austin and Rock, he certainly had his legion of fans that supported everything he did. When the WCW/ECW Invasion angle was going on, he was as popular as anybody. When it's time for him to go into the Hall of Fame, fans will be ready to cheer him that night too. It's very likely that RVD is going to be a WWE Hall of Famer one day. It's also likely that when he does his speech, he'll probably say the word "dude" more than anybody else in the history of the Hall of Fame too.
