WWE Greatest Royal Rumble Wrestlers - Where Are They Now?
21. Tyler Breeze
Entry: #30
Time: 00:16
Then: 16 seconds. That's all poor Tyler Breeze was handed in 2018's Greatest Royal Rumble. He didn't quite suffer the same indignity one Mike Kanellis did, but the Breezango member came eerily close. Genuine questions needed asked about exactly what the point of booking Breeze a flight and taking him all the way out to Saudi Arabia for this was.
Granted, his tag-team partner Frandango didn't fare much better, but at least he got to take a few breaths mid-ring before being eliminated. Tyler barely got to snap any selfies before he was tumbling out of the ring courtesy of Mojo Rawley and skulking his way back up the ramp.
Breeze couldn't even slap anyone's hands backstage, and he must've been mortified if anybody said he did a good job. 'Well done, Breezy - what a shift you put in, son!'.
Now: Tyler was released from his contract in June 2021, and didn't return to WWE until 2022. By then, he'd moved into more of a backstage role and began working as a coach at the Performance Center. The freedom of this role enabled him to take on select independent bookings when he still fancied it.
In addition, Breeze has contributed to the writing on episodes of NXT since calendars turned to 2025, and he also challenged Ethan Page for the NXT North American Title in September. His in-ring showings have become less frequent (Tyler has wrestled just 8 times in 2025), but he's still able to show off his creativity and that's important.
His 'Fashion Files' skits with Fandango should be studied.
