Then: Future Raw Underground and Apollo Crews henchman Babatunde was the kind of GRR entry who caused many to look over to a mate with puzzled facial expressions and asked: "Who is that?!". In truth, nobody really knew for sure. Big Baba had been signed to a developmental deal way back in April 2016, but he'd have to wait a full 2 years before appearing on TV/PLE for the first time.

His debut lasted around 6 minutes.

Shockingly, especially considering his physical stature, Babatunde wasn't booked to toss anybody out of the Rumble. Then, Braun Strowman got his paws on the would-be Commander Azeez and he was history. You've really got to wonder just how much WWE thought of Baba if this was all they had in mind for his first showing in front of fans.

Now: Shane McMahon brought Babatunde back as Dabba-Kato in August 2020. He was a key part of the soon to be abandoned Raw Underground stuff (think Fight Club or any number of Jean-Claude Van Damme movies but with typical WWE clumsiness), then got repackaged alongside Apollo Crews the following year.

Come September 2023, WWE had long since given up on Babatunde. They let him go, and he's been pinging around the independent circuit ever since. Most notably, as Babathunder (which is some ring name), he worked a few dates in the NWA and for MLW.

If the towering Omos can't find a good spot in WWE under Triple H, then Baba likely has no chance of being rehired for another whirl in the big time. There are only so many spots for giants, after all, and Trips doesn't seem keen on them.
