Then: Flying anywhere can't be a pain free experience for somebody The Great Khali's size. Add in knees that probably pop more than popcorn in the microwave when he moves, plus hips so crunchy you could market them as Doritos and...yeah, getting on a plane won't have been a pleasant experience for would-be lover boy (who's fond of farting, apparently) Khali.

It felt like a rib that WWE plonked his giant frame on an aircraft and flew him out to Saudi for a 30 second spot in the Greatest Royal Rumble. Wait. Greatest Royal Rumble. Great Khali. This was all they had for him in a match named after his greatness?! Those imbeciles.

The unbranded Khali wasn't tied to Raw, SmackDown or (stop laughing in the back) NXT when he ambled out to "work" for 30 secs in Jeddah. Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley sent him ambling all the way back up the ramp.

Now: Khali went on to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2021, and he made another appearance for the company at the Superstar Spectacle in 2023. That took place over in his native India, where he certainly was considered "Great". There was nothing great or epic about his performances on either the GRR or at Spectacle though.

Away from the ring, Khali remains a big time celebrity in his homeland, and he's even dabbled in politics. Why not, eh? His old SummerSlam 2008 foe Triple H presumably won't be bringing Khali back into WWE's product anytime soon. Genuine question: What would he even do?!
