WWE Hall Of Famer Kevin Nash Wants Retirement Match

An interesting idea presented by "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash.

Kevin Nash has noted on Twitter that he is keen to have a retirement match. The 2015 WWE Hall Of Famer, who turns 56 in July, has put out the idea of a WWE Network documentary series that could follow his training for the final match of his career. He posted the following on Twitter at the culmination of last night's RAW; https://twitter.com/RealKevinNash/status/603072209310097408 Nash is known for having a sense of humor, so he could be joking about this although most likely he's being serious. As the Magic Mike movies have shown, he's still in great shape and often works weekend independent shows. A documentary showing his training leading up to one final match would be really cool to see. He referenced the 24/7 HBO features that they do for major boxing matches. WWE could run five or six 30 minute episodes showing Nash training, talking with his friends, reflecting on his career, hanging out with his family and other things like that. Wrestling fans love seeing that side of a wrestler because it makes us feel closer to the action, so to speak. If Nash really wants this to happen, he should call his good friend Triple H. Maybe he already has. The reason he posted it on Twitter is probably to gauge the fan reaction because wrestling fans are very vocal about if they think something is great or if they think it sucks. Most of the responses to Nash look to be favorable because fans support wrestlers wanting to do something out of the box like this. A match like this wouldn't have to take place at a WrestleMania. It could, but if they have other plans then they can certainly do it at another PPV event or simply a WWE Network special since WWE is likely to do more of those in the future. The event could be in his hometown area near Detroit to make it more sentimental for him. It's easy to root for a guy in his hometown in what will be his last match. There are all kinds of different opponents that WWE could choose for Nash if they were to go down this road. A smaller guy would be able to bump around for him and if he was against a big guy they could have a slow, plodding power match. A tag match is also possible too although then it loses some of the appeal if he's out there with somebody else. Nash was never really known for having the best matches, but give him credit for wanting to do this and presenting an idea that could work really well.
