WWE Money in the Bank: Whatever Happened To The Winners?

2010, Wrestlemania 26 - MVP Vs Shelton Benjamin Vs Jack Swagger Vs Christian Vs Evan Bourne vs Kofi Kingston Vs Kane Vs Matt Hardy Vs Drew McIntyre Vs Dolph Ziggler Such a busy ladder match should have been an absolute failure with far too many bodies flying around to create any real heat. However, with the wrestlers involved it proved to be one of the most entertaining MITB ladder matches yet. The eventual winner was Jack Swagger who cashed in the briefcase and won the World Heavyweight Championship from Y2J. He would hold onto the strap for a few months it was supposed to be his first big push. Unfortunately his attitude backstage gained him a lot of heat and he would flounder ever since. Swagger is always impressive but never seems to go anywhere, losing matches to the likes of Santino on a regular basis. The man who many were calling the next Kurt Angle has a long way to go before he can even come close to getting his hands on the case again. 2010, Money in the Bank PPV In the same year as Jack Swagger's victory WWE announced that the MITB concept would be turned into it's own PPV, with each brand holding their own for their respective titles. In 2010 the Smackdown brand saw a new World Champion the same night after Kane cashed in his briefcase against Rey Mysterio while RAW's winner - The Miz - didn't cash his in until November against Randy Orton. Kane is a respected veteran that WWE calls upon from time to time when they need to. As a result he was rewarded with quite a long run that even saw him defeat and bury his brother The Undertaker. Miz on the other hand was a big deal for a while but has since fallen out of favour with someone in WWE, jobbing almost nightly. While Miz probably has another run at least to look forward to one day, this was likely Kane's last big hurrah before he retires.
