WWE Network Pull List: 10 Must-See Matches And Shows (May 11)
5. American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story (Beyond The Ring)
The wrestling world was shaken to its core in 2015 when one of its greatest stars, and minds, passed away.
"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes was a trailblazer, one of the most captivating performers the industry has ever seen. He was a compelling talker, a man whose mic mastery was unmatched by his peers. He was also a much better wrestler than most his size. His body language and facial expressions could sell his pain and agony to the audience or would generate loud ovations for his valiant comebacks.
A complete performer whose influence on the business is immeasurable, this 2006 production from WWE Home Video is more than worth a look.
Is the truth stretched or altered at times? Of course, especially if it conflicts with what Vince McMahon and his company's line. But the documentary is an extraordinary and in-depth look into the life and career of a Superstar truly larger than life.
Everything from Rhodes' partnership with the great Dick Murdoch to his controversial stint in WWE (including the polka dots!) is included. A celebration, it is a must-see if you were not lucky enough to pick it up on DVD a decade ago.
