WWE Newcastle Live - Roman Reigns Injured And A Doubt Tonight

Roman Reigns suffered a painful head injury after clashing heads with Randy Orton at the WWE Live Show in Glasgow on Wednesday night. Reigns was able to finish the match but fan reports on social media indicate that the star looked "out of it." That could suggest a concussion, which would almost certainly rule Reigns out of the next stop on the tour tonight in Newcastle. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio wasn't able to confirm a concussion but did remark that the star could be a doubt for the next stop of the tour. One injury which was confirmed is the nasty gash the impact caused. Reigns has tweeted a photo of the cut which is wide and open, he's probably requiring stitches for the wound, which could further constrict him for the show in Newcastle tonight. Losing Reigns to injury is something WWE will be desperate to avoid, if he's fit to go he will feature tonight, but concussion is taken very seriously these days. If testing proves he was concussed then Reigns will be forced to sit out. This would mean the main event of the live tour would be changed for a third time, which is sure to upset the already put-out WWE fans who bought tickets to see Daniel Bryan. The initial main event would have been Kane vs Bryan in a Last Man Standing Match. Following Bryan's neck injury it was changed to a cage match of Reigns vs Orton. If the Shield star is now out injured it's expected that the main event will become Kane vs Big Show in a last man standing match. Newcastle fans will be upset by this, but hometown hero Adrian Neville could restore some goodwill, he featured strongly in the Glasgow card and is sure to receive a good reception from his home crowd. That being said, the Newcastle fans could be a tricky audience, they were already upset when Daniel Bryan was advertised but failed to feature in the November tour, the fact he hasn't ended up on the show again after being advertised has been received with huge disappointment in the North East of the UK.
