After some speculation, Ambrose and Reigns’ mystery partner was revealed to be none other than…Chris Jericho. This made sense from a storyline perspective, as Y2J had a storied feud with Bray Wyatt last year. So there were hopes that this would translate into a more personal (and exciting match).

Though the match wasn’t as dramatic as their SummerSlam encounter, this one was still exciting and fun to watch. The action was far more fast-paced than the matches that preceded it. Special attention should be given to Bray and Reigns for their impressive power maneuvers, and for Chris Jericho who once again demonstrated that he can still perform at the highest level.

The final touch to this match was a curious ending involving a blind tag on Jericho’s part. Jericho somehow believed that he could overpower the 385-pound Braun Strowman, but instead he got manhandled and ended up losing for his team. Despite their attempts to cheer him up afterwards, Jericho stormed off, upset that he lost.

This adds a nice touch to the story, and leaves the viewer asking questions on what’s going to happen on RAW tonight and in subsequent weeks? Was Jericho’s appearance a one-time thing? Why did he think that he could take on someone as massive as Strauman? How will his teammates react to his actions?

These questions and more like it are reasons enough to tune in to Raw to see what happen.
