WWE NXT: 10 Best Non-Indy Wrestlers

7. Baron Corbin

The Lone Wolf of NXT got over very quickly. Literally.

Introducing his Nomad biker gimmick last year at TakeOver Fatal 4 Way, Corbin destroyed CJ Parker (remember him?) with his slick finisher the End Of Days. From there he began squashing opponents so quickly that fans would start counting the seconds between the bell ringing and Corbin scoring the 3 count.

They rarely got past 20 seconds.

Inevitably though, Corbin outgrew squashing jobbers and was promoted to a proper feud with Bull Dempsey. That was when his weaknesses began to show. Corbin was exposed as being greener than fans guessed in longer matches where he was required to sell and transition from move to move.

Fans quickly turned on him, necessitating a heel turn that has suited him nicely.

Baron Corbin has a long way to go as far as his in-ring work is concerned. But what he does have is size, looks, and an intangible presence that just can't be taught. Triple H is right to be high on him. So too will Vince McMahon when he reaches the main roster.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
