1. These People Are The Future
Let's face it, nothing lasts forever. Undertaker, HHH, The Rock, and others are still on top right now, but they won't be around forever. Even now, they are being used more and more sporadically. There comes a time in every wrestler's life where they have to face the facts and realize that their time on top has come to a close. So when that day comes, who takes their place in the main event? That is where the roster of NXT comes in. The wrestlers we see each week on NXT are hopefully the ones we will soon see gracing the squared circle of Monday Night Raw. Just a week ago as I write this NXT alum Johnny Curtis, now known as
Fan...Dan...Go defeated Chris Jericho on the grandest stage of them all at Wrestlemania 29. These wrestlers are the stars of tomorrow (and of today in the case of current NXT champion Big E. Langston). In fact, there is currently a rumor circulating on the interweb that Kassius Ohno, Bray Wyatt, and Adrian Neville are all being groomed to be brought up to the
main roster. Now while I am saddened about the hole this would leave in the NXT roster, I am super excited about the thought of watching these three tear up the main roster. You should be too. Lest we forget, Ohno is also Chris Hero. He has had ridiculously epic matches with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk on the indy circuit over the last 10 years. Neville is an exciting high flyer who can easily fill the void which will soon be left by Rey Misterio, and Bray Wyatt will be wonderful on the main roster for his work on the microphone alone. Not to mention, WWE is constantly signing up new talent to come on board with NXT, as shown by the somewhat recent signing of El Generico, another indy darling who has been entertaining the indy scene for several years. NXT is the future stars of the WWE main roster, and if you are a wrestling fan and a WWE fan, you should join me in watching NXT from week to week so you can be encouraged that when your heroes finally hang up their boots, WWE has found some worthwhile talent to take their place. That should be enough to bring any wrestling fan into the NXT fold.
