Rusev is the kind of promo man who is often unintentionally hilarious. Even when he's handed dry material such as introducing his family members on the big screen, the Bulgarian makes it work by lambasting the fans and chastising everyone for booing him. Right now, Rusev is one of Raw's premier performers.

On Raw, Roman Reigns was booked to interfere in Rusev and Lana's little family homage. Making fun of the pair, Reigns then said that Rusev should concentrate more on his upcoming Hell In A Cell bout for the WWE United States Title against Roman. That's when Lana stepped up to put Reigns in his place.

The most striking images of this segment were yet to come. Rusev locking in the Accolade on a downed Reigns, who was draped over the steel steps, is the lasting image many will take from the entire situation. However, it was actually Lana herself who started the violence.

Stepping in front of Rusev, the 'Ravishing Russian' planted a slap on Reigns before her hubby got involved. This empowers Lana, she almost signalled her man to attack by doing so herself.
