WWE Raw: 10 Things You Might Have Missed (May 9)
9. A Rubber Match At Extreme Rules
The feud between Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin has gotten heated as of late. Corbin debuted on Raw by giving "The Showoff" a beating, but Ziggler surprised "The Lone Wolf" at Payback when he defeated him with a roll-up. The next evening on Raw, Ziggler eliminated Corbin from the U.S. Championship number one contender battle royal, but Corbin attacked him in retaliation.
In Raw's opening contest, Corbin got a bit of absolution. He dominated a contest with Ziggler, hitting a massive Deep Six and eventually scoring the pin with the End of Days. Still, they're tied at 1-1, so there's going to have to be a rubber match between the two men at Extreme Rules.
As far as stipulations go, a Last Man Standing match seems to make sense - Ziggler's win at Payback wasn't indicative of an ability to keep the newcomer down for the count, and Last Man Standing matches are a staple of the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View. Expect Corbin to score a huge, decisive win.
