1. Roman Reigns Beats Cody Rhodes Twice
What an awful thought this is.
Last year, the air was sucked right out of SoFi Stadium in California when Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes and retained his spot atop the WWE mountain. Fans couldn't believe it, but the risk paid off by leading us to this rematch in Philadelphia. Cody maintained his popularity, but he wouldn't survive another failure on that scale.
It'd be one of the most disheartening moments in promotional history if WWE had Rhodes fail in his quest a second time. Instantly, all that babyface support would start to evaporate faster than fans around 'American Hero' Lex Luger back in 1993-1994. There's only so long creative can hold out on Cody's win.
WrestleMania 40 cannot close with another disconsolate babyface wondering what might've been. This year's version demands celebratory fireworks, tears for the right reasons and Cody staring up at the night sky mouthing, 'I did it for you, dad'. That'd give everyone goosebumps.
Attention, WWE. Do not spurn this chance.
