WWE WrestleMania 42: 20 Things That NEED To Happen
12. Rhea Ripley Takes The Gold
It’s no secret that Jade Cargill’s title reign has been bloody shocking. Triple H has fumbled back to back Women’s Title reigns for Tiffany Stratton and Jade, and there might be no rescuing Cargill’s now. So, that's why Rhea Ripley might have to take the belt then try to restore some weekly interest in it. Of course, Bianca Belair’s elusive comeback does raise an interesting question about whether or not Jade holds on to defend it against her post-‘Mania, but no.
Ripley seizing the day and slapping both Michin and B-FAB around along the way won’t stop the company from running with Jade vs. Bianca anyway. They’ve got unfinished business, but the title doesn’t necessarily need to be involved. This feud has been brutal on weekly television, so a title change moment could act as an apology to fans and get everyone back onside.
They'd just need to be wary of casting 'Mami' as a current day version of Charlotte Flair from several years ago. Back then, people rolled their eyes at every Charlotte title win, because it seemed like she needed to have gold or hog the glory. Those same darts will be thrown at Rhea if she goes over Jade, but so be it.
Cargill is a Hunter pet project, but Ripley is the apple of his eye too. It's going to be real interesting to find out which woman 'The Game' backs to come out of Vegas with the title then. A Riptide out of the corner off the ropes for the 3 count may well be WWE's best option.
Book a Women's Title reign worth following, for crying out loud.
