WWE Wrestlers Upset At Being Sent To Performance Center?

WWE's conditioning instructions haven't sat well with wrestlers who don't live locally.

WWE's order that Raw and SmackDown wrestlers report to the Performance Center to work on their condition ahead of the company's return to the road hasn't sat well with certain performers.

Per Dave Meltzer in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, wrestlers who don't live in the Orlando, Florida area aren't happy with how this will upset their routine, particularly as many can work on their conditioning at home, on their own.

In addition, Meltzer writes that not everyone is being held to the same level of expectation. For "top tier names," reporting to the Performance Center is described as "more optional," particularly if they don't live near the facility.

It is stated that those wrestlers who live near the Orlando area don't consider it a big deal.

WWE returns to something resembling a full road schedule with the 16 July episode of SmackDown. This show comprises part of a 25-date tour that will run through summer, finishing on Labor Day (6 September), though only six events have been announced thus far.

These will be fully-ticketed live shows run in compliance with relevant state guidance, and the first unrestricted events WWE has promoted since the COVID-19 pandemic kicked in last March.
