WWE's Top 2023 Draft Pick Was...

Here's who was drafted first during the early round of picks on WWE SmackDown.

WWE Draft 2023 Roman Reigns Paul Heyman Solo Sikoa

Roman Reigns (with Paul Heyman) and Solo Sikoa were the very first names out of the hat during WWE's opening Draft night on Friday's episode of SmackDown.

Triple H was the one who announced the first round of picks, and 'The Game' made sure to mention that Heyman will be tied to Roman for the the foreseeable future. The Usos were conspicuous by their absence in this Bloodline news - WWE will either draft them to SmackDown as well on Monday's Raw, or the unthinkable stable split will happen.

It's pretty interesting that the company plans to keep fans guessing, at least.

Few are surprised that Reigns was involved in the first round of picks for the 2023 Draft, but hopes were high that WWE wouldn't use early rounds to keep wrestlers on the same brand they'd already been working on for a while. So much for that: Cody Rhodes was the next name drafted, and he's still on Raw.

The only one of the opening four picks who moved show was Bianca Belair (Raw > SmackDown). Becky Lynch, who rounded out the opening salvo, is sticking around on Mondays.
