17 Most Brutal Hazing Horror Stories In Wrestling

15. Mick Foley

Dynamite Kid Mick Foley
WWE

Few wrestlers have fond memories to share of the actual man behind the physical machine that was the late Dynamite Kid, despite their insights often being coloured with an unflinching love of everything he was capable of bell to bell.

Tom Billington was a very angry man in an era where volatility could be a benefit, and even when his own strain of violence went beyond back-breaking snap suplexes, his seemingly random acts of violence were so par for the course that his actions were typically waved away. Of all future wrestling icons, Mick Foley was one of the more famous victims of his "welcome-to-the-business-kid" strain of stiffness. Working as enhancement talent for first ever televised WWE match in 1986, Foley explained in his first autobiography how Billington hit him so hard across the face with a clothesline that he dislocated his jaw.

This wasn't acceptable obviously, but it went completely unpunished by WWE bosses, the Bulldogs went on to the next town and Foley went off to hospital and into a period of recovery that left him unable to eat for a few days. When watching the footage, it's remarkable he has the wherewithal to safely and so impressively bump while experiencing the shock of the impact. This, again, most likely won't have been something the stacked and jacked Dynamite would have given a toss about.

Speaking of being stacked and jacked though...
