10 Awesome Antiheroes From British Comics Creators

8. Tank Girl - Tank Girl

Tank Girl
Titan Comics

A Comic that has gained a massive cult following since its inception is 1988, tank Girl follows the eponymous character and her misadventures with her kangaroo boyfriend, Booga. The comic had a strong Punk aesthetic and a very crude, British sense of humour. Through this, Tank Girl, both comic and character, found a place into the heart of fans.

Tank Girl herself gained antihero status due to her frequent use of foul language, general disregard for society and her also frequent nudity. She is not a traditional heroine and doesn’t care to be, instead choosing to be unapologetically herself.

The comic gained enough of a following to inspire a Hollywood movie, which was widely disregarded with poor financial and critical reception, as well as a reboot movie announced in 2019.
