The tales of the Iliad is thousands of years old, with different retellings, reinterprations and overall just redone over that vast time frame and various cultures. For the average comic reader, though, this may be a bit out there, not because of its homoeroticism, but because it's a mostly faithful adaptation of the love of Achilles and Patroclus.

However, it is done in such a way that it does become open for even the most casual comic reader to be able to understand that it isn't merely a gay love affair but that the love is from a brotherly place. Gary Proudley strives to reinvigorate the tale while staying faithful to the moments that Homer described in his epic poem, becoming one of the proud storytellers to repeat this tale for a new audience. The art by Gary Chaloner backs up this literary graphic novel with a striking almost relief style, same as what's on the cover, with a unique bronzed color scheme that truly makes it feel like a masterwork that will survive the times!
