10 Best Moments From Tom King's Batman

1. The Elmer Fudd Crossover

Batman Elmer Fludd
DC Comics

A few years ago, DC comics decided that it wanted to do several crossovers between the DC superheroes... and the Loony Tunes. Okay, sure, why not? I mean, I can think of several reasons why not, but no one asks me for anything, so screw it.

But at least in the case of this issue, it's probably a good thing that they let Tom run wild with it, because this is hands down one of the best Batman short stories ever made. Period. Brand new classic right here, folks.

The basic gist is that Elmer Fudd is reimagined as a bounty hunter that fell in love with Silver St. Cloud. But when Cloud turns up dead, he comes after his good pal Bugs, who then lays the blame on Bruce Wayne. What follows is a cat and mouse tale where Elmer and Batman hunt each other down. To give away anything else would be spoiling a tale that you should really just go read for yourself. It's one of the best written, best looking, all around best Batman stories. And it stars Elmer Fudd.

A phenomenal issue from one of the Caped Crusader's most fascinating runs.
