10 Comic Book Characters Everyone Hates (And Why They're Wrong)

1. Jason Todd

Jason Todd Robin Red Hood
DC Comics

Jason Todd is universally hated by comic book readers of a certain vintage as well as those who have gone back to read the tales of Batman's second ever Robin.

Constantly butting heads with the Dark Knight, Jason first illustrated his violent side with the death of serial rapist Felipe Garzonas, who escapes conviction before falling 22 stories with only Todd anywhere near him. This, coupled with his constant foul mood and bad attitude, led to the now infamous choice to kill him off via phone vote in Death in the Family.

The thing is that that Jason Todd is dead, at the hands, crowbar and a very large bomb of The Joker, and with his passing and subsequent re-birth, the stigma attached to him should've been shed.

The new Jason Todd is fantastic. A gun-toting vigilante who is more than happy to get the job done by whatever means necessary, the Red Hood that stalks Gotham's underworld is more than a match for any of the heroes and villains that litter the DC multiverse, and that includes Batman himself.
