10 Comic Book Characters Who Didn't Deserve The Hate

There is one clear thing that makes people hate Squirrel Girl, and that is the fact that she has taken out just about every major power in the Marvel universe. Thanos, Galactus, Doctor Doom - you name them, she's beaten them, with minimal effort.

But this hate carefully skirts around one key fact - that these defeats are a punchline. The character was literally made to joke around, and her defeats of powerful characters are supposed to be funny because she has the almost entirely useless powers of a squirrel.

With other comics like Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe also showing a hero taking out characters they almost definitely couldn't kill for comedic effect, it seems clear that Squirrel Girl isn't a unique case of this happening in Marvel, so it's never entirely clear why it's only Doreen Green's brand of surreal comedy that gets all the hate.
