7. The Coming Of Galactus
Galactus is as much a universal threat as one for the Fantastic Four, yet his ball tends to fall in their court. When the Silver Surfer comes heralding his arrival it isn't news that is ever well received. While some fans and the studio may be reluctant to rehash this story after Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, there's no reason this story couldn't be appropriately dealt with. In Rise of the Silver Surfer, Galactus was hardly in the movie well, he was a cloud, but we all like to forget that ever happened. Involving characters such as Uatu the Watcher, and having him break his oath to only watch by recruiting the Fantastic Four and the X-Men to face this threat, this movie could be a great crossover opportunity. If for some reason the studio was unwilling to totally rehash the story used in Rise of the Silver Surfer, it would even be possible to include the X-Men in this story by having the warning of the approaching Devourer come from the Shi'ar Imperium, with whom they've enjoyed a long relationship in comics. A threat as large as Galactus could easily encompass more than one franchise, and really can't be deterred by one movie failure. If the studio is willing to combine these franchises, and reboot the Fantastic Four, Galactus is going to eventually be involved somehow.
