10 Comic Book Storylines To Link The Fantastic Four And X-Men Films

5. Rama-Tut

When Kang the Conqueror travels back to ancient Egypt, he makes a kingdom for himself under the name Rama-Tut. After a short reign, the time-displaced Fantastic Four head off against the villain and depose him. The following power vacuum in Egypt after all time interfering parties depart is filled by En Saba Nur. Centuries later Nur would take on the name Apocalypse and would aim to rule not just a kingdom, but the whole world. This storyline needn't encompass a whole movie. It could be a component of a sub plot, or could even be a quick scene before the plot of a Fantastic Four movie takes off. Imagine the beginning of a Fantastic Four movie (presumably not the the first one), where they are mid-route defeating Rama-Tut, they return to the present and begin their movie. It serves to show that they are always involved in some adventure or the other. Then, by end credits, the action returns to Egypt where upon Rama-Tut's vacated throne we now find Apocalypse sitting rather pleased with himself, or contemplating the next step. A connection like this would connect both franchises nicely and, because of the nature of time travel, wouldn't necessarily need to be released before the coming Apocalypse movie; it could add context after the fact.
