It’s often cool to root for the bad guy, and Deathstroke has always sat among that bracket of evil-doers you just can’t help but sit back and think: “Man, Slade Wilson, you are one badass mother trucker.”
But the admiration for this particular gun/katana/one-man-army-for-hire took on a new spin in 2017, when he formed his own version of the Teen Titans as a result of having his conscience changed via a brush-in with the Speed Force in a book written by industry legend Christopher Priest.

Except it is when we see Deathstroke working out the awkward kinks of turning his back on a life of murder and assassination, transforming into the one thing he’s encountered as an obstacle every step of the way we’ve known him until now - a hero.
DC Rebirth’s relaunch in 2016 precipitated a bunch of new storylines, retcons and alterations, some of which went down like a lead balloon.
