10 Heartwarming DC Comics Moments That Made Fans Cry

1. Batman Annual #2

Batman Annual 2 Selina Bruce
DC Comics

True to form, Batman Annual #2 - containing the joined comics 'Date Night' and 'Last Rites' - is maybe the most beautiful Batman comic in existence, both visually and narratively speaking.

The annual details the relationship between Catwoman and Batman - from them as young rivals, to at the end of their lives. In particular, Selina's graceful and loving treatment of a dying Bruce is a potent tear-jerker, made all the more special by the note and cat he leaves her upon his death.

A fairly realistic look into Bruce and Selina's potential full life together doesn't initially sound heartwarming, but seeing the two so totally understand each other is the closest to an emotional romcom that Batman will ever get.

Should the superhero equivalent of Mamma Mia work? Not at all. Does it? All too well.
