10 Heartwarming Marvel Moments That Made Fans Cry

1. Wolverine Talks About Grief - Fallen Son: The Death Of Captain America

Grief and depression are some of the hardest subjects to tackle in fiction. Everyone experiences it differently, and works through it their own way, so something so raw and overwhelming into words is not going to encapsulate the entire experience. Something like this can only be personal.

Which is probably why this scene from Fallen Son hit so close to home.

Captain America has died as a result of Civil War, and the entire Marvel universe is dealing with it in their own way. At one point, Spider-Man snaps at Wolverine for riding him while he's got quite enough to deal with already, to which Wolverine replies that if anyone knows what Parker is going through, it's him. he then proceeds to prove it by giving one of the most heartfelt descriptions of grief and depression ever put to page.

The moment isn't meant to cheer Peter up, but to show him the right way to look at it. Depression is not something you can just "get over", it's a weight that you have to carry.

It's easily the most vulnerable moment given to one of the Marvel canon's most stoic characters, and even if it doesn't leave you teary eyed, you'll more than likely be left at a loss for words after reading it.
