10 Most Stupidly-Overpowered Superheroes In Comics History

1. The Spectre

Captain Atom
DC Comics

As far as superpowers go, The Spectre has a simply unfair roster of insane powers stacked up within him. Not only is he immortal - which would be enough on its own - but he's also pretty much omniscient too, not to mention the 'limitless powers' he is bestowed with due to being an agent of the Presence, which is the closest thing the DC universe has to God.

It's more powers than even an overpowered character needs, and only serves to reinforce something that we already know; that he's powerful.

There's no viable reason for one character to have an entire superhero team's collective powers and then some, aside from the potential idea that the writers got bored and wanted to see how far they could push a single hero's powers.

In all due fairness, there are other DC figures at The Spectre's power level - with all the other Presence-appointed characters like Eclipso and Radiant being of a similar level - but neither of these other figures are heroic, and thus it's only The Spectre that earns the title of the one truly overpowered hero.
