No matter where you look in Spidey's books, Uncle Ben's immortal words can be felt.

Spider-Man is a hero, and he'll always do what it takes to save people, no matter the personal cost. He's constantly missing personal commitments because he's out there, saving lives. He understands the weight of being a hero, and we see the effect this has on him and his loved ones over and over again, whether he's erasing his marriage from history to save the life of his Aunt May, or risking his life to give as many innocents a chance to survive as possible.

Peter Parker also understands that as much fun as his powers are, they also put a burden on him, and it takes a real hero to answer the call again and again. He might lose his way, or even retire, but Spider-Man will always do the right thing when the chips are down, no matter what.
