10 Superman Rip-Offs Who Are Stronger Than The Man Of Steel
1. The Plutonian
Mark Waid’s comic, Irredeemable, tells the story of how the world's greatest defender, The Plutonian, fell from grace. At first, he was the perfect champion. He saved the planet almost on a daily basis and despite his seemingly unlimited abilities, he never let power go to his head.
His powers may seem identical to Superman at a glance, but his skillset is more diverse. He can manipulate all forms of matter on an atomic level.
When he learned to harness this power, he developed quantum abilities, allowing him to distort time, control energy, and view a person's entire history just by looking at them.
Naturally, there were some people who believed he was too powerful, and the technology he used against villains was potentially hazardous. Plutonian made his tech publicly accessible to prove he posed no danger to humanity.
Sadly, his technology was used by a supervillain to create a virus that poisoned hundreds of children. Plutonian tries to remove any indication his technology was involved, which condemned him further when the truth was uncovered.
He began killing anyone whoever discovered the truth; first people, then governments, then entire cities and before you know it, he became the most evil villain in history.
