10 Things DC Wants You To Forget About The Flash

3. Batman€™s Goo-Goo Eyes For Him

It€™s not often that the Dark Knight will betray any emotions, safe for anger, angst or a combination of the two that from this day forward will be referred to as angster. Even more rare is getting the miserable git to smile. After losing his parents at an early age and almost everyone who gets close to him dying, Batman€™s a fairly closed-off sort of guy. Which makes it all the more surprising that he would have so much respect for Barry Allen. Even long before The Flash made his final heroic sacrifice to save all of reality in Crisis On Infinite Earths, the Caped Crusader couldn€™t help but make clear how much respect and affection he had for the Crimson Comet. Batman has actually gone on record as saying Bary Allen, forensic scientist, is €œthe kind of man I would€™ve hoped to become if my parents hadn€™t been murdered€. Predictably, that slightly bizarre sentiment hasn€™t been repeated any time since. Don€™t want to ruin the Bat€™s dark, moody, unsentimental exterior.
