4. Taking On The Hulk (And Winning) - Old Man Logan
Contrary to popular belief, Wolverine actually first appeared in the pages of the Incredible Hulk and not the X-Men. He debuted as a one-time antagonist sent in by the Canadian government to track down and defeat Bruce Banner's rage monster, and while the two forge a brief alliance, they're back to beating each other in no time at all.
Wolverine has fought the Hulk on dozens of occasions thereafter, and even came close to beating him when he became Apocalypse's horseman. He even managed to sink his claws into the monster's head in the pages of Savage Wolverine, providing a suitably visceral moment and the illusion of victory for Logan, as the Hulk was able to push past the pain barrier and continue his wave of destruction.
Battle after battle has resulted in stalemate after stalemate, but Logan has succeeded on a select few occasions. In Old Man Logan, Wolverine gets eaten by the Hulk and tears him apart from the inside, emerging out of his rival's stomach covered in blood and guts.
It's typical Wolverine one could say, but the bulk of the character's history has shown the Hulk besting ol' Canucklehead on countless occasions, making Old Man Logan's victory particularly shocking.
