Spider-Man is pretty much Marvel's golden boy in terms of handing out hilarious one-liners aimed at others' expenses.

This is shown in its best form when, in Ultimate Spider-Man #13, where Spider-Man - halfway through a bout of verbal wits with Kingpin - opens his rucksack and takes out a written list of insults that roughly appear like 'your momma' jokes rewritten to insult the murderous crime boss.

Given how absolutely terrifying Kingpin can be, especially in the Spider-Man universe, there's something childishly wonderful about Parker having clearly prepared a series of jokes that teens would throw around at one another, and aiming them all squarely in a roast of Marvel's most ruthless don.

Even better, the list goes from silly, inconsequential jokes, to genuine allegations in regards to Kingpin's shadier criminal activities, which manages to add an insight into this universe's Spider-Man - in that, while he can be childish, this is often weaponised to hide just how smart and moral the young hero truly is.
