The patriarch of the entire Bat-Family has been kicking bad guys in the face ever since he decided that his mother and father would prefer a trip down an alleyway one fateful night, and it's proven to be a recipe for success.

The billionaire playboy persona he uses to hide his nocturnal activities is one of genius, as no one would suspect that Bruce Wayne and Batman were one and the same. In doing so, it's allowed him to fight crime for the past 80 years, barring a few brief periods on the sidelines due to severe injury and/or death.
