Marvel Legacy: 10 Things You Need To Know After Issue 1

When Loki et al. broke into Area 51 in an attempt to steal the Mind Gem, we saw that the crate that held it had a very specific reference on the front: 4-1939. It's far from just a simple organisational code however, and is in fact a callback to Marvel Comics #1, which released in the April of 1939.

Marvel have remained tight-lipped as to the number's relevance, but as for the issue itself, it happened to mark the debut for both Namor the Submariner and Jim Hammond's Human Torch. That's kind of a big deal, and although it's a struggle to link them back to the mind gem, it could be the case that Marvel have plans for both characters on the horizon.

Jim Hammond's flamey android has only made the odd appearance here and there since the introduction of Johnny Storm, but it'd be interesting to see if Marvel unite the pair in the coming months ahead.
