10 Classic X-Men Villains Perfect For The MCU

Years ago, one look at the half-man-half-Pteranodon Sauron would have been enough to nix any chance of him appearing in the MCU’s more grounded films. Frankly, most of the Savage Land's creatures would have felt too cartoony for the likes of Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor.

However, Black Panther brought a new layer to the MCU, specifically the thought that undiscovered lands may exist throughout the world. Introducing the Savage Land as another hidden region similar to Wakanda allows mutants like Sauron to easily enter into the fold.

With Namor rumored to surface in Black Panther’s sequel, the story is ripe for more MCU worldbuilding. Bringing Sauron and the Savage Land into the mix, even in a small capacity ala Batroc in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, would introduce these ideas logically and open up pathways to future X-Men introductions. Perhaps a certain weather goddess could feature into the story as well…
